In addition, Alton Delane supports numerous nonprofits, such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), which looks to advance research and treatments focused on the disease.
The organization recently announced its MDA Let’s Play fundraising initiative, with a Game-a-Thon event on March 15 alongside Twitch streamer Minion777. During the event, Minion777 held a six-hour gaming live stream joined by several guests, alongside donation incentives.
Speaking about the event, the streamer notes that gaming can be a positive way to increase awareness of and raise funds for numerous causes, suggesting that it is a way to connect younger people to real-world issues.
In addition, MDA has announced that there will be additional gaming-focused fundraisers in the future, with each of these being held under the MDA Let’s Play banner. It also took part in CEO Dreamland as well as other esports events in recent months.
